466) Ex.d This Indenture made this 9.th day of December in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and forty seven Between Robert Gordon, Charles Hammond and George Steuart ^Esq.r Commissioners or Trustees for Emitting Bills od Credit Established by Act of Assembly of the Province^ of Maryland of the one part and the Rev.d William Brogden of Ann Arundel County in the Province of afsd Clerk of the other part Whereas a Certain William Ghiselin late of the City of Annapolis Gentleman Deceased, and a Certain John Gibson late of Ann Arundel County Gentleman in and by one Obligation bearing date on or about the 26.th day of August in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and thirty four become Joyntly and Severally Bound unto the af.d Robert Gordon, Charles Hammond and a Certain Richard Francis and their Successors (which said Richard Francis was Succeeded by a Certain Benjamin Young and the said Benj.a Young is now Succeeded by the af.d George Steuart) in the Penal Sum of one Hundred Pounds Lawfull Money of the said Province Conditioned for the Payment of Fifty Pounds like Money with Interest at four Pounds P Centum on or about the Twenty fifth day of August in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and forty five in which said Condition for the better securing the Payment of the said Money a Warrant of Attorney was Contained for Confessing Judgment upon the said Bond in any of his Majestys Courts of Record in the Realms of Great Britain France or Ireland or the Province of Maryland By Virtue of which Warrant of Attorney a Judgment was afterwards to wit on or about (the) |
