383) Be it remembered that on the 28.th day of October Anno Dom 1747 before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of Annarundel County Court Personally came the within mentioned John Gaither son of John and Ann his who severally acknowledged the within Indenture to be their and each of their Acts & deeds and the Lands & Premisses within mentioned to be the Right & Estate of the within named Eleanor Williston during her Natural life the remainder to the within Named Richard Williston and to his heirs and assigns for ever and the said Ann Gaither being examined apart & out of the hearing of her said Husband declared that she made the same acknowledgment Willingly & freely without being induced thereto by fears or threats of her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure Nich.s Gassaway son Tho.s November the 13.th 1747 Received of Eleanor Williston four Shill.s Alex.r Warfield son of Rich.d Sterling for the Alienation fine on the within mentioned two hundred Acres of Land for the use of the Right Honble the Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker 9 1/2 sides Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General Recorded the 12.th day of Nov.r 1747 Rich.d Dorsey Fees & Alienations Charges for the Year 1747 & made out till Dec.r first Ex.d This Indenture made this third day of October in the Year of our Lord Seventeen Hundred forty and Seven Between Mathew Hawkins of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part & Charles Carroll Esq.r of the City of Annapolis in the Province af.d of the other part Witnesseth that the said Mathew (Hawkins) |
