342) Or Ill usage of her said Husband of fear of his Displeasure according to the Act in that Case made & Provided Robert Gordon Received two Shillings Sterling of Charles Carroll Esq.r for the use of the Right Honourable the Lord Baltimore being for the Alienation fine of fifty Acres of the within mentioned Land this 14.th August 1747 6 1/2 sides Recorded Sept.r 4.th 1747 Benj.a Tasker Exam.d This Indenture made this 19.th day of September in the Year of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred forty and seven Between John Harryman of Baltimore County Planter on the one Part and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis in Ann Arundell County on the other Part Witnesseth that the said John Harryman for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in paid and satisfyed at and before the Ensealing & Delivery of these Presents The Receipt whereof he Doth hereby acknowledge and therewith is fully Content and satisfyed & thereof from every Part & Parcell thereof doth acquit release and Discharge him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs Exors & Adm.rs Hath Given Granted Bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain sell alien enfeoffe and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll All the remaining Part Unsold to him the said Charles of a tract of Land Called Pistole Thickett originally granted unto Rich.d Lenox of said Baltimore County the tenth Day of April (One) |
