       Deed to and for the use of the within named Henry Semans his
       Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the Directions of an Act of
6 1/2 Assembly in that Case made and Provided
       Recorded the 4.th ^July^ 1747 Acknowledged before me the Day and Year af.d

Ex.d   This Indenture made the Seventh day of July 1747
       Between Henry Semans of Kent County in the Province of Maryl.d
       Planter of the one part and Edmund Jenings of the City of Annapolis
       Esq.r of the Other part Witnesseth that the said Henry Semans for and
       in Consideration of Twenty one Ounces Eleven penny eighteen Grains
       of Spanish Gold amounting in Value to One hundred and Nineteen
       Pounds of Maryland Gold Currency to him the said Henry Semans by
       the said Edmund Jenings at or before the Sealing hereof paid and Satisfied
       the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge Hath Granted
       Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain
       and Sell unto the said Edmund Jenings All that Tract or parcell
       of Land called Bright Ho^l^mstone Scituate lying and being in
       Kent County af.d Begining at a Corner marked Pick Hiccory standing
       on the South side of Choptank Road and near the head of a Branch
       belonging to Sassafras River called the Mill Branch and Runing
       from the said Tree South East four hundred Poles then with a Line
       Drawn North East four hundred perches and from thence with a
       Line drawn North West four hundred Perches and from thence w.th
       a Line Drawn to the aforementioned Pick Hiccory Containing and
       Laid out for one Thousand Acres of Land more or less (excepting out
       of the af.d Tract the Quantity of Fifty five Acres of Land part thereof
       which is included in a Certain Tract of Land called Dallams
       folly being an Antientor Survey) To have and to hold the said
       One Thousand Acres of Land (Except as before excepted) unto
       the said Edmund Jenings his heirs and Assigns forever
