323) Ex.d This Indenture made this fourth day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and forty seven Between the Honourable Edmund Jenings of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Esquire of the one part & Henry Simons of Kent County in the Province af.d Planter of the Other part Witnesseth that the said Edmund Jenings for and in Consideration of the Sum of Four hundred and Seventy two Pounds Ten Shillings God and Silver Current money of the Province af.d to him in hand paid by the said Henry Simons the Receipt whereof he the said Edmund Jenings doth hereby Acknowledge he the said Edmund Jenings Hath Granted Bargained and Sold Alienated and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain and Sell Aliene and Confirm unto the said Henry Simons his heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract or parcel of Land called Brighthelmstone Scituate lying and being in Kent County in the Presence of Maryland now in the Tenure and Occupation of the said Henry Simons Begining at a ^Corner^ marked Pick Hickory standing on the South side of Choptank Road and near the head of a Branch belonging to Sasafras River called the Mill Branch and Runing from the said Tree South East four hundred Perches then with a Line drawn North East four hundred Perches and from thence with a Line Drawn North West four hundred perches and from thence w.th a Line drawn to the aforementioned Pick Hiccory Containing and Laid out for One thousand Acres of Land more or less (excepting out of the af.d Tract about the Quantity of Fifty five Acres of Land part thereof which is included in a Certain Tract of Land called Dollams Folly being an Antianter Survey) and also all Lands Trees Woods Underwoods and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Tract or parcel of Land and Premes (Above) |
