282) Whereof the said Samuel Stringer hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the Day and Year above Written Samuel Stringer seal Signed Sealed & Delivered In the Presence of On the Back of the aforegoing John Howard Son Benj.a Deed was thus Endorst Nicho.s Gassaway son Tho.s (Viz.t) Memorandum that this Day to wit the Eight day of May Seventeen hundred and forty Seven Came Doctor Samuel Stringer and Lydea his wife before Us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the peace for Annarundel County and Acknowledged the within Deed and the Land therein mentioned to be the ^right and^ Estate of the within Named Alexander Warfeild son of Richard his heirs and Assigns forever the af.d Lydea being Privately examined according to Law acknowledged her right of Dower to the within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within mentioned Alexander Warfeild son of Rich.d his heirs and Assigns forever John Howard son Benj.a Nicho.s Gassaway son Tho.s May the Eight Seventeen Hundred and forty seven then Received of M.r Alexander Warfeild son Rich.d the sum of Ten Pounds Sterling money being the Consideration money Expressed in the within Deed Witness my hand Test Nicho.s Gassaway son ^Tho.s^ Benj.a Samuel Stringer John Howard Son Benj.a Received (May the 12.th 1747) of M.r Alex.r Warfeild son of Richard Seven Shillings & Ten pence Sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Aleination fine on the w.thin Mentioned one hundred and Ninety five Acres of Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r 10 sides his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Recorded May 12.th 1747 Rich.d Dorsey |
