       Person and Persons Whatsoever to the said James Mudd and
       Assigns during the Term af.d shall and will Warrant and Defend
       by these Presents In Witness whereof the said Thomas Mudd
       Boarman Mudd hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day & year
       first above written
                                                          Tho.s Boarman Mudd   seal
          Sealed & Delivered
       in the Presence of             On the Back of the aforegoing Deed
       Geo Dent                     was thus Endorst (Viz.t)

       Charles County fs.t April 14.th 1747  Then Came before me the
       Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court
       of Maryland the within named Thomas Mudd who Acknowledged
       this Deed according to Law

           April 11.th 1747  Then Received of James Mudd         Ster
       the sum of five Pounds Sterling being the Consideration      £5
       money within mentioned as Witness my hand

Ex.d      Maryland fs.t   This Indenture Tripartite made
       the 13.th day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven
       Hundred and forty Seven Between Thomas Boarman Mudd
       of Charles County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the
       first part James Mudd of the County and Province af.d Planter of
       the second part and Charles Craycraft of the County and Province
       af.d Planter of the third part Witnesseth that the said Thomas
       Boarman Mudd for the Docking Barring and Culling of all
       Estates Tail and Remainders in Tail of and in one Tract or parcel
       of Land called Brierwood Containing six hundred and fifty
       Acres lying and being in Charles County af.d together with all &
       Singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging and for settling
       & Assuring Of the same to and for the Uses Intents and purposes
       hereinafter Limitted Expressed and Declared and in Consideration
