25) Causes and Considerations her hereunto especially moving hath Given Granted Aliened Bargained and Sold and by these Presents doth Give Grant Aliene Bargain and Sell unto the Said Nathan Smith and his Assigns all that Plantation Tract or Parcel of Land lying and being at Lyons Creek on the East side of Patuxent River within the Province of Maryland Containing as is supposed three hundred Acres whereon she the said Elizabeth Smith now dwells together with all and singular the dwelling House and all other House and Houses and other Improvements thereon or thereto belonging or in any manner of way appertaining And all the Estate Reversion and Remainder Right Title Interest & Demand whatsoever which she the said Elizabeth Smith hath or hereafter shall have to of and in the said Tract of Land and ^other the^ Premises with the Appurtenances or any part or parcel thereof To have and to hold the Tract of Land and Premises af.d with the Appurtenances to the said Nathan Smith and his Heirs for an during the natural Life of the said Elizabeth Smith In Testimony whereof the said Elizabeth Smith hath hereunto set her hand & Affixed her seal the day and Year first above written Signed Sealed & Delivered Eliz.a Smith Seal In Presence of John Darnall Richard Wakeman On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed viz.t November 17.th 1744 ^Then^ Received of Nathan Smith the sum of five Pounds lawful Money of Maryland being the Consideration Money within mentioned I say received P me Eliz.th Smith Nov.r 17 1744 Then came Eliz.th Smith before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Prov.l Court & acknowledged the within deed to be her Act & deed & the three hundred Acres of Land & Premises therein mentioned with the Appurtenances to be the Right of the within named Nathan Smith & his Heirs according to the true Intent & meaning of the within deed & the Act of Assembly in such Cases made & Provided John Darnall 3.d Janry 1744 Recd of the within Nathan Smith six shillings Sterling being for the Alienation fine of the within Land I say received P me for his Lordships Use Benj.a Tasker 5 Recorded January 3.d 1744 |
