Ex.d   Maryland fs   Know all men by these presents that I
       Ambrose Judd of Great Britain Marriner and Master of
       of the Good Ship Alfred now lying in Patapsico River have
       made Ordained Constituted and Appointed Captain
       Darby Lux of the Province of Maryland ^my true & lawfull Attorney for me & in my Name within the province of Maryland^ and for my use to
       Act demand and Sue for recover and receive all such Sum or
       Sums of money and Tobacco Goods Wares and Merchandizes
       of what kind or Nature so ever they be as are now due & owing
       or hereafter may become due and owing to me within the said
       Province of Maryland af.d from any person or persons
       whatsoever giving and granting unto my said Attorney by
       These presents my full power and Strength to have Use
       and take all Lawfull ways and means in my Name for the
       recovery of any Debts now due or owing or that hereafter may
       become due and owing to me in the said Province of Maryl.d
       and on the recovery and receipt thereof sufficient discharge
       for me and in my Name to make Seal and Deliver and all
       other things Whatsoever relating to the Premisses to Act do
       and perform as fully and Amply to all Intents and purposes
       whatsoever as if I myself were personally present or if the
       matters before mentioned require more power then is here
       before given I do hereby impower the said Darby Lux to Constitute
       one or more Attorney or Attorneys under him and the
       said Power by him to them given at Pleasure to revoke
       ratyfying allowing and Confirming by these presents whatsover
       Attorney shall Lawfully do or Cause to be done about the
       Premisses by virtue hereof In Witness whereof I have hereunto
