       one Indenture of Lease bearing Date the Day next before
       the day of the Date hereof & one Indenture of release & assignment
       bearing Date herewith (& made & Executed by me respectively
       to the said Charles Lord Baltimore) according to an Act
       of Assembly in that Case made & Provided & for you or any either
       of your so doing this shall be a sufficient authority Witness
       my hand this Eighteenth Day of February 1745

                                        On the back of the aforegoing Power of
          attorney was thus Endorst Viz.t

       On the 21.st Day of July in the year of our Lord 1746 Came W.m
       Mauduit one of the Witnesses to the within power of Attorney
       before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Prov.l Justices of
       the Prov.l Court & mde oath on the Evangelist of Almighty
       God that he saw the within named Samuel Hyde Sign Seal
       & as his Act & Deed Deliver the within Instrument of
       writing to & for the several uses & purposes therein ment.d
       and that the other Witnesses subscribed their names in his
       presence as such

Ex.d To all People to whom these presents shall come
       Greeting Know Yee that Jonathan Howard of London in
       great Britain Merchant for divers good Causes & Considerations
       him thereunto moving as also in consideration of the sum of  
       five shillings sterling to him in hand paid the receipt whereof
       is hereby acknowledged Hath remised released & for ever
       Quit Claimed & by these presents for himself & his heirs
       Doth fully clearly & absolutely Remise release & for
       ever Quit Claim unto Matthew Elliot of Annarundel
       County in the Province of Maryland in North America
       Planter in his full & peaceably possession & seisin thereof
