188) and truly in hand paid by the said Charles Lord Baltimore the receipt of which said sum of Five shillings the said Samuel Hyde doth hereby acknowledge & thereof & therefrom and of and from every part and parcell thereof Doth acquit release Exonerate and Discharge the said Charles Lord Baltimore his heirs Executors administrators and assigns and every of them for ever by these presents he the said Samuel Hyde Hath granted bargained sold aliened remised released & Confirmed and by these presents doth grant Bargain Sell Alien remise release & Confirm unto the said Charles Lord Baltimore by Virtue of one Indenture of Demise or Lease to him thereof made by the said Samuel Hyde bearing Date the Day next before the Day of the Date of these presents for one whole year from the Day next before the Day of the Date thereof & by force of the Statute for Transferring uses into possessions and to his heirs & assigns All That Plantation or Tract of Land commonly called his Lordships Kindness containing by Estimation Six thousand seven hundred acres of Land be the same More or less ^And also all that other Plantation or tract of Land called or known by the Name of the Severall Tracts Containing by Estimation Two thousand five hundred Acres be the same more or less^ all which said premisses are scituate and being in Prince Georges County on a certain River called Patuxent in the Proprietory of Maryland on the continent of America & are now or were lately in the possession of W.m Mattingly the overseer or manager thereof and are part of certain Lands and premisses released & Conveyed by Henry Darnall of Prince Georges County in Maryland af.d to John Hyde Deceased the Father of the said Sam.l Hyde together with all messuages or Tenements Farms Lands Houses Settlements Sheds Work Houses offices Works Buildings Edifices & appurtenances standing lying or being upon or within the said Plantations or Tracts or parcells of Land hereby granted & released or intended so to be and upon every or any part thereof and also all & every the Negro Slaves Male & female that now are the property of the said Samuel Hyde and reside or work in the said (plantations) |
