144 Ex.d Maryland fs.t Know all Men by these presents That Wee Benjamin Tasker Esq.r and Benjamin Young Esq.r Judges and Registers of the Land Office of Maryland Benjamin Tasker Jun.r Esq.r and Doctor George Steuart of Ann Arundell County are held and firmly Bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland in the full and just sum of Three Thousand Pounds Currency to be paid to the said Lord proprietary and his Successors To which payment well and truly to be made We and Every of us hereby Bind our Selves and every of us Out and Every of Our Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with Our Seals and Dated this 17.th Day of May Anno Dom 1746 The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above Bound Benjamin Tasker and Benjamin Young Esq.rs whilst they shall Continue in the Office of Judges and Registers in and of the Land Office shall at their Own Proper Cost and Charge find a Supply of good and Sufficient Record Books necessary for the Entering up of all matters and things ^relating^ to such Land Office and shall and will make or Cause to be made & entered true Legal and perfect Records and Entries according to the force and Virtue of the matter or thing Requiring to be Entered or Recorded and shall duly and Carefully look after maintain preserve Repair and maintain all the Several Books Papers and Records now being and remaining in the said Office As also all those that from time to time during their Continuance in the said Office shall be added thereunto in such manner as that in Case of Death or that they shall be legally Dismissed from officiating longer in the said Office, they the said Benjamin Tasker and Benjamin Young Esq.r their Exec.rs or Administ.rs shall Surrender and Deliver up or Cause to be Surrendered and Delivered up to the next person who shall Succeed them in the said Land Office All the papers and Record Books now being in the said Land Office in good Order and Repair as also all such other papers and Record Books which shall be by them added in like good Order and Repair with the Records and Entries faithfully legally and truly made up and Entered during the time they shall Officiate in the said Office without favour or Affection but According to the truth the Nature of the thing and the Duty of their Office and all other the Duties of their said Office legally duly and faithfully shall discharge According to Law and the true intent and meaning of the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided Then the above Obligation to be Void and of none Effect else to be & remain in full force and Virtue in Law Sealed and Delivered Benj.a Tasker Seal in presence of B Young Seal Jn.o Ross Benj.a Tasker Jun.r Seal Tho Jennings Geo Steuart Seal On the back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Endorst Viz.t 17.th May 1746 Then Came John Ross and Thomas Jennings before Us Two of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court and Severally made Oath that they saw the within Bounded Benjamin Tasker Esq.r Benjamin Young Esq.r Benjamin Tasker Jun.r Esq.r and Doctor George Steuart execute the within ^written^ Bond Rob.t Gordon W.m Rogers You are hereby required immediately to Record in the Provincial Land Records the within Bond |
