145 Bond together with the above Written Endorsment To the Clerk of the Rob.t Gordon Provincial Court W.m Rogers 6 recorded May 17.th 1746 Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite made this first Day of May in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and forty six Between William Maclean of Chester Town in Kent County and Province of Maryland Innholder of the first part James Maclean of the Same County Cordwinder of the Second part and and Stephen Glanvill of the Same County Planter of the third part Whereas the af.d W.m Maclean in April Term last past did commence prosecute and bring one Writ of Entry Sur Disseizin en le post against the af.d James Maclean thereby Demanding all that Tract or parcell of plantable Land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging being the Moeity or half part of a Tract of land called the Grove that is to say all that part of the Said Tract heretofore by Deed of bargain & Sale enrolled bearing Date the twenty third day of June Anno Dom sixteen hundred Eighty five granted and Sold by Cornelius Comegys and Mary his Wife to Henry Staples and afterwards granted and sold by William Blay to acertain W.m Glanville Scituate and being on the East Side of Chesepeak Bay in a river called Chester River and on a branch called the North East Branch of Langfords Bay in the said river on Kent County af.d unto which said Writ the said James Maclean did appear and did Vouch to Warranty thereof the af.d Stephen Glanvillee who being present in Court in his proper person Warranted the lands & Tenements af.d with the appurtenances to the same James & Vouched over to Warranty John Macculloch who being likewise present in Court in his proper person warranted (the) |
