139) all manner of persons & Claims whatsoever Provided always & it is the true Intent & meaning of this Indenture of Bargain & Sale that in Case the said John Williams pay unto him the said Charles Carroll the sum of fifty Pounds Current Money of Maryland with the Lawfull Interest thereof Yearly at or upon the fifteenth day of Feb.ry which shall be in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred forty & seven that then the same shall become Void otherwise to Remain & be in full force Sealed & Delivered in Presence of Jn.o Eaton Jn.o Williams Seal Robert X Pragnall mark On the Back of the aforegoing Mortgage was thus Endorst (Viz.t) Received of the within Mentioned Charles Carroll the sum of fifty pounds Current Money being the Consideration Within Mentioned I say Rec.d P me Feb.ry 15.th 1745 Jn.o Williams Test Jn.o Eaton his Robert X Pragnall mark Feb.ry 15.th 1745 Then came the within mentioned John Williams and Acknowledged the within Deed according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in that Case made & provided Before ^me^ one of his Lordships Justices of the provincial Court of Maryland Robert Gordon Recorded Feb.ry 15.th 1745 4 Ex.d This Indenture made twentieth day of January One Thousand seven hundred forty & five between John Ross of Ann Arundel County Gent of the one part & John Wa^l^ters of Queen Anns County Gent of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Ross for & in Consideration of the sum of one hundred Pounds to him in hand paid by the said John Walters the Receipt whereof he doth hereby confess & Acknowledge he the said John Ross hath Granted ^bargained^ Sold Aliened enfeoffed (released) |
