93) w.th shall be advised devised or required by the said Benj.a Tasker his Heirs or Assignes or his or their Council learned in the Law for the further and more Effectual Assurance & Conveyance of the Premisses in Testimony whereof the said Thomas Broad hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of (the words Thomas Broad Seal his Heirs & Assignes for Ever) being first interlined between the fourteenth & fifteenth lines On the back of the aforegoing Deed Jo Carroll W.m Tweedie Alexand Lawson was thus Endorst (Viz.t) Reced from Benj.a Tasker Esq.r fourteen Pounds three Shill Sterl Sterl being the Consider within mentiond Thomas Broad 14 3 Baltimore County fs.t March 23.d 1738/9 Then Came the within mentioned Thomas Broad before Us Thomas Sheredine & William Bond two of the Justices of the Peace for the said County and acknowledged the within Deed according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in Such Cases Provided And Ann Broad the Wife of the said Thomas Broad being by us Examined a Part from her said Husband Declared that she voluntarily relinquished all her Right of Dower to the within Bargained Premisses & that she was not induced so to do by Corection of her said Husband or for fear of his Displeasure Taken & acknowledged before us T Sheredine William Bond Reced of the within Benj.a Tasker & Comp.a four Shill.s Sterl being for the Alienation Fine of the within Lands I say reced for his Lordships use Benj.a Tasker Recorded June 13.th 1739 7 1/2 Ex.d Know all Men by these Presents that We Lyonell Lyde and Edward Cooper both of the City of Bristol Esq.r Have made ordained constituted and Appointed And by these Presents Do and Each of Us Doth make ordain constitute and appoint Henry Morgan now of the said City Mariner our True and Lawfull Attorney for Us and in our Names to ask Demand & receive of and from all & Every Person and Persons Dwelling and residing in the Province of Maryland in America all and Every Sum and Sums of Money from him or them due and owing on any Account whatsoever and on receipt and Payment of Such Sum or Sumes of Money to him or them ^his^ or their Heirs Executors of Administrators Acquittances or other sufficient Discharges for us and in our Names to give and Execute for the same and in default of Payment of Such Sum or Sumes of Money Such Person or Persons his or their Heirs Executors or Adm.rs for us and in our Names to Sue & Prosecute in Such manner as he the said Henry Morgan shall think Proper & be advised to do & to do all other Acts and things requisite and necessary in & about the Premisses and (one) |
