after the Words (that they the said Baptist
Barber & Cornelius Norton at the reasonable   On the back of the aforeing Deed
request of the said William Worthington his       was thus Endorst Viz.t
Heirs & Assignes) being first interlined              On the 17.th Day of August Anno
                           John Brice            Dom 1738 Came the within named
                           Ruth Burdus      Baptist Barber & Cornelius Norton before me
                                     the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial
       Court & acknowledged the within Deed as their Act & Deed & the
       Lands & Premisses therein mentioned to be the right & Estate of the
       within mentioned William Worthington his Heirs & Assignes for
       Ever according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in that Case
       made & Provided

       Reced Sept.r ^the^ 12.th 1738 of M.r William Worthington Jun.r the Sum of
       five Pounds four Shillings Sterling for his Lordships Use being the
       Alienation fyne on the within mentioned Lands (Supposing the
       said Lands to Contain Two thousand Six hundred Acres) By Virtue
       of a Commission from Benj.a Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent
       & Receiver Generall   P
Recorded Sep.t the 15.th 1738   9 sides         Rich.d Dorsey

Ex.d To all to whom these Presents shall Come Mary Carpenter of
       Alphington in the County of Devon in the Kingdom of Great
       Britain Widow & one of the Executrixes of the Last Will and
       Testament of Thomas Carpenter late of Alphington af.d Gentleman
       deceased John Simons of Kenton in the said County of Devon
       Marriner & Tamer Simons his Wife Mary Carpenter of Alphington
       af.d Spinster & Dorothy Carpenter of the same Spinster which said
       Tamer Simons Mary Carpenter Spinster & Dorothy Carpenter are
       Heirs & likewise Executrixes of the said Thomas Carpenter their
       Father send Greeting Whereas the said Mary Carpenter Widow
