519) the said Fifty Acres of Land and Premises without any Lett Suit Trouble or Disturbance of him the said Edward Owens his Heirs or Assigns or any other Person or Persons Claiming by from or under Him and no further according to the true Intent and meaning of these Presents In Witness Whereof the said Edward Owens hath hereunto sett his hand and Seal the day Year above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered Edward Owens Seal In the Presence of Thomas Owen Nath.l Wickham On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Memorandum On this day to Witt the nineteenth day of June One thousand seven hundred and forty four came before Us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices for Prince Georges County the within named Edward Owens and Acknowledged the within Instrument to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises therein mentioned to be the Right of the within named Robert Langford his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and meaning of the within deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided and the same day and time was also Elizabeth the Wife of the said Edward Owens before us the subscribers and being secretly examined according to Law out of the hearing of her said Husband did freely and absolutely give up all and Singular her Right Title Dowrie Claim and demand of and in the within mentioned Land and Premises and she did Confess she was not thereunto Induced for fear or through any threats of her said Husband Tho.s Owen Nath.l Wickham Received of Thomas Langford two Shillings Sterling being for the Alienation Fine of the within fifty Acres of Land I say received for his Lordships Use 9 Benj.a Tasker Recorded July 14.th 1744 |
