       June 26.th 1744  Reced of William Thornton Satisfaction for
       the Sum of Fifteen pounds Sterling being the Consideration
       Money within mentioned for the Use of Thomas Harper &
       Cecilia his Wife Elianor Horton & Sarah Caulton

       named John Hunter Attorney in fact for Thomas Harper
       & Cecilia his Wife Elianor Horton & Sarah Caulton Severally
       within mentioned before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships
       Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland and
       acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act & Deed & the Land
       & Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right & Estate of
       the said William Thornton his Heirs & Assignes for Ever

             This Indenture made this nineteenth day of June One
       Thousand seven hundred and forty four Between Edward Owens of
       Prince Georges County Gentleman of the one part and Robert Langford of
       the same County Joyner on the other part Witnesseth that the said Edward
       Owens for and in Consideration of the Sum of four Thousand Pounds of
       Tobacco to him in hand paid by the said Robert Langford the Receipt
       whereof the said Edward Owens doth hereby Acknowledge and himself
       therewith to be fully Satisfied Content and Paid Hath Given Granted
       Bargained Sold Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these Presents
       doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Release and Confirm unto him the     
       said Robert Langford his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that Tract or
       Parcell of Land called and known by the Name of Shady Grove containing
       fifty Acres taken up by William Bradshaw Scituate lying and being in
       Prince Georges County Beginning at three Bounded Chesnut
       Saplins standing at the Head of the Northernmost Head of Hawlings
