497) James Richard his heirs and Assigns against the Claim of all person warrant and Defend and at all time hereafter at the request of the said James Richard his heirs and Assigns (but at your own Cost and Charge) make Suffer acknowledge and Execute any further or other Deed Instrument or Assurance in law as the s.d James Richards his heirs or Assigns or their Council Learned in the Law shall devise advise or require for the further better and more Effectual Confirming and suremaking the aforementioned Negroes and Premises Provided always Nevertheless and upon Condition that if the said Christopher Gist his heirs Exors or Admors or Assigns shall well and Truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the said James Richard his heirs Exors Admors or Assigns the Just and full sum of five hundred pounds sterling money of great Britain together with the Lawfull Interest thereon accruing from the date of these Presents at or upon the fourteenth Day of March which shall be in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred forty seven without fraud or further Delay then this Present Indenture and the Estate hereby made Over shall Cease determine and be utterly Void any thing herein Contained to the Contrary Notwithstanding In Witness whereof the above parties to this Indenture have Interchangeably to these presents sett their hands and affixed their Seals the day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered Christ Gist seal In Psence of Catharine Minskie B Ro^d^gett On the Back of the aforegoing Mortgage was thus Endorst (Viz.t) On the 21.st Day of March 1743 The within named Christopher Gist acknowledged the within Deed according to the Directions of (the) |
