496) of age of all which the said Christopher Gist is now in Possession as heir at Law to his late Father Richard Gist deceased as more fully appears by Patents and deeds of Gifts in y.e records of Baltimore County under which said Tracts of Land Containing Eight hundred the s.d Richard Gist Deceased the Present Grantor Christopher holds which said Tracts of Land Containing Eight hundred and Eighty and three Acres of Land in all said Two Lotts in Balt Town Containing one Acre each & said eight Negroes Men Women &r the said Christopher doth by these Presents Bargain sell Transferr make over and grant unto James Richard him and his heirs and assigns for ever with all the Rights Titles Interest Claim of him the said Christopher Gist his heirs Exors and Admors as also all Deeds Patents writing and evidences whatsoever touching the said Negroes and Lands and Premises together with all other Rights Priviledges houses orchards fences and all other appurtenances thereunto appertaining To Have and to hold the said Bargained Premises and Negroes to him the said James Richard his heirs and Assigns forever And the s.d Christopher Gist doth for himself and his heirs Covenant and agree to and with the said James Richard his heirs and Assigns that the afs.d Eight hundreds and eighty three Acres of Land and Likewise the Two Lotts in Balt Town and all the respective premises are free and Clear and freely and Clearly acquitted and discharged from any former Gifts bargains Suits Intails Jointures Dowers and from all other Charges and Incumbrances whatsoever (the Rents becoming due and payable to the Lord Propry Excepted) made done or Committed by the said Christopher Gist or any other person whatsoever And further the said Xpher Gist doth Coven.t for himself and his heirs that he or they will from time to time the afores.d Negroes and premises Granted as above unto the said (James) |
