491) Memorandum On this Day to wit the 27.th Day of Feb.ry one Thousand seven hundred and forty three Came before us the Subscribers Two of his Lordship's Justices for Ann Arundel County the within named William Bradshaw and acknowledged the within instrument to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises within mentioned to be the proper Right of the within named Rob.t Langford his heirs and Assigns for ever according to the True intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided And the same day and time was also Violetto the Wife of the said William Bradshaw before us the subscribers and being Secretly Examined according to Law out of the hearing of said Husband Did freely and Absolutely give up all and singular her Right Title Dower Claim and demand whatsoever of and in the within Land and premises and she did Confess she was not thereunto Induced for fear or through any threats of her said Husband, Taken and acknowledged before us Alex.r Warfield son Rich.d Nicholas Gassaway son Tho.s Ann Arundel County fs.t I hereby Certify that the above named Alex.r Warfield and Nicholas Gassaway who Seal of have Subscribed to the above acknowledgement, at Ann.l Co.ty the time of doing thereof were and still are Two of the Right Honble the Lord Propry Justices of the Peace for the County afs.d duly authorized and Assigned, In Testimony whereof I have have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the County afs.d this 13.th Day of March 1743 J Brice Clk 14.th March 1743 Reced of the within Robert Langford Two Shillings sterling for the use of the Right Honble the Lord (Baltimore) |
