468) according to the True Intent and meaning of these presents In Witness whereof the said John Howard hath hereunto sett his hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written Sealed & Delivered John Howard Seal In the Presence of us his Patrick P Doran Mark Moses Maccubbin John Sitton On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorst Viz.t December the 27.th 1743 Reced of the within named Samuel Howard the sum of one hundred pounds Sterling being the Consideration money within mentioned, I say Reced Test ster.l John Howard (£ 100 00 00) Memorandum December 27.th 1743 Then Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland the within mentioned John Howard and acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premises therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Samuel Howard his heirs and Assigns for ever W.m Rogers Then received of the within Samuel Howard the sum of Seven Shillings and Two pence sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore the same being for Alienation fine for one third Part of the within (mention.d) |
