          Viz.t   Be it Remembred that on the thirtieth Day of April Anno Dom
       seventeen hundred forty and three the within named Anne Parr personally
       appeared before me one the Right Honourable the Lord Propry
       his Justices of the Provincial Court and voluntarily ^acknowledged^ the within
       written Indenture to James Calder within named to and for the
       several Uses Intents and Purposes therein specified and declared
       and that the same is her proper Act and Deed In Testimony
       whereof I have hereunto set my Hand the Day and Year above
       written

Ex.d This Indenture made the Second day of Mary in the year
       of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and forty three Between
       Thomas Egerton of Saint Marys County Gentleman William Egerton
       of the said County Gentleman Son and Heir of James Egerton of Saint
       Marys County afs.d Gent Deceased of the one Part and John Hicks of S.t
       Marys County afs.d Esq.r of the other Part Witnesseth that the said
       Thomas Egerton and William Egerton for and in Consideration
       of the sum of five Shillings Sterling to them in hand paid by the said
       John Hicks at or before Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents
       the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have Bargained and
       sold and by these Presents do Bargain and Sell unto the said John
       Hicks Two Thousand four hundred Acres Part of all that Tract of
       Land on the East side of Piscataway River and on the South side
       of a Creek in the said River Called Piscataway Creek Beginning
       at a Marked Oak the bound Tree of Randall Hawson and running
       South South East up the Hills for the Length of five hundred Perches
       to a Marked Oak bounding on the South with a Line Drawn
