379) the Day and Year first above written Sealed and Delivered in Henry Childs Seal the Presence of J Ijams On the Back of the aforegoing Jn.o Brice Deed was thus indorst Viz.t Reced sixty Pounds Sterling the Consideration within mentioned Witness Jno Brice Henry Childs Jn.o Ijams Be it remembred that on the thirty first Day of January seventeen hundred and forty two came Henry Child within mentioned before me the Subscriber one of his Lordship's ^the Lord Propry's^ Justices of the Provincial Court who acknowledged the within Deed of Bargain and Sale to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of Plummer Ijams his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent & Meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided at the same Time Jemima Child Wife of the said Henry Child being by me privately Examined out of the Presence and Hearing of her said Husband released her Right of Dower of and in the within mentioned Lands and Premisses and acknowledged that she did the same willingly and freely without being induced thereto by Fears of Threats of or ill Usage from her said Husband or Fear of his Displeasure according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly af.d Jn.o Brice Feb 21 1742 Reced of M.r Plumer Ijams six Shill.s and four Pence Sterl for the Use of the Right Honble the Lord Baltimore being for the 7 1/2 s.ds Alienation Fine of the within Lands Benj.a Tasker Recorded Feb.ry the 21.st 1742 |
