       Sept.r y.e 22.d 1742   Then came before me the subscriber one of his Lordship's
       Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland Charles Carroll Esq.r who by
       Virtue of y.e within Power acknowledged the within Deed according to Law
                                                                                        JBrice

       Reced Sep.t the 29.th 1742 of M.r William Chapman the sum of nineteen
       Shillings and one penny sterling for his Lordship's Use (being the
       Alienation Fine on the within mentioned four hundred and seventy seven
       Acres of Land) By Virtue of a Commission from Benj.a Tasker Esq.r
       his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General

Ex.d Maryland fs.t Know all men by these Presents that We Daniel
       Dulany and Benjamin Tasker of Ann Arundell County Esq.r and
       George Plater of S.t Marys County Esq.r are held & firmly bound
       unto the Right Honourable Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary
       of the Province of Maryland in the full and just Sum of
       One thousand Pounds Current Money to be paid to his said
       Lordship his Heirs and Successors to which Payment well and
       Truly to be made and Done We bind ourselves & each of us
       our and Each of our Heirs Executors & Administrators jointly
       and severally for the whole and in the whole firmly by these
       Presents Sealed with our Seals and Dated this 16.th day of October
       Anno Domini 1742

                      The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that if the
       above bound Daniel Dulany whilst he shall Continue in the
       Office of Commissary General shall at his own proper Cost and
       Charge find a supply of good and sufficient ^Record^ Books necessary for the
       Entering up all Matters and things relating to Such Commissarys
       Office and shall duly and carefully look after preserve and
       maintain all the several Books of Record now being and        
       remaining in the said Office as also those that from time to
       time shall be added thereto is such Manner as that when he
       shall be dismissed from officiating longer in the said Office he shall
