       warrant and for ever defend by these Presents And the said John
       Taillor hath nominated authorized and impowered and by these
       Presents shall nominate authorize and impower Charles Carroll of
       Annapolis in the said Province Esquire John Darnall of Ann Arundel
       County aforesaid [illegible] Gentleman John Galloway of Ann
       Arundel County aforesaid Merchant or any of Them his Attorneys
       or Attorney jointly or severally to acknowledge these Presents in or
       before any Court of Record or before any Judge of Justice Judges or
       Justices according to the Laws of Maryland as fully and amply as
       the said John Taillor cou'd or might do if personally present
       In Witness whereof the said John Taillor hath to these Presents
       set his hand and seal the Day and Seal the Day and Year first
       abovewritten

                         On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus indorst Vizt
Sealed and Delivered in Presence of Edm Jenings Simon Pridham W.m Black
       Reced on the Day and Year within written of and from the above
       named William Chapman the sum of one hundred and seventy
       Pounds Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned
       I say reced in full p.r me

                                                       Jenings Esq.r one of the Subscribing
       Evidences to the within Deed before me the Subscriber one of the
       Right honble the Lord proprys Justices of the Provincial Court of
       Maryland and made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty
       God that he saw the within named John Taillor sign seal and
       in due form of Law deliver the same Deed as his Act and Deed
       to and for the several Uses Intents and Purposes in the same Deed
       mentioned & that he saw Simon Pridham one other of the subscribing
       Evidences subscribe his Name as Witness to the same
