334) and Enjoy the said Office with all Powers Privileges Profits and Advantages and Authoritys thereunto belonging unto the said Head Lynch from the Sixth Day of August One thousand seven hundred and Forty two for and during the full Force of Ten Years or so long as he shall ^well^ demean himself in the same and We do hereby strictly require all Officers and others Employed in or about the Post already settled or to be settled in any part of his Majestys said Dominions and Provinces in America or in relation to the Revenue arising by the Post of Letters there from time to time to give an Account of their Doings and transactions therein to the said Head Lynch and to observe and Obey his Orders Directions and Instructions in relation to their respective Officers Trusts and Employments and the better to Enable the said Head Lynch to Execute the Office and Trust reposed in him We do hereby Delegate unto him all our Power and Authority to appoint sufficient Deputys Officers and Agents under him for the better managing and Ordering the Posts in America and for Collecting and improving the Revenue arising thereby Granting him full and sufficient Power and Authority so far as by Law We can to suspend or remove such Deputy or Deputys and all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever imployed or to be imployed in the Management of the said Posts or in the Collection of the said Revenue who shall be Guilty of any Neglect Mismanagement or breach of Duty in their respective Offices And We do also hereby Authorize and Empower him the said Head Lynch to allott Order and Settle from time to time the Sallarys or Allowances which Each Deputy Officer or Agent or Servant who shall be Employed in or about the said Posts shall be paid for their trouble Care or Charge in their respective Offices And We do hereby give grant and appoint unto the said Head Lynch for his Care Paine and trouble in the Performance & Execution of his Office & Trust hereby granted and Committed unto him and he is to receive or be allowed in his Accounts out of the Revenue arising to his Majesty by the Post of Letters within the said Provinces (and) |
