       unto the said Paul Ruiz promise and Warrant and for ever defend against
       the Claims and Demands of any Person or Persons whatsoever In Witness
       whereof I have unto these Presents set my Hand and Seal this sixth Day

                      On the Back of the aforegoing Instrument of Writing was thus endorst
       (Viz.t)   Sep.r the 6.th 1742 Then came William Hayward before me the Subscriber
       one of his Lordship's Provincial Justices & acknowledge the within Instrument
       of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the two Negroes Boys Nick and
       Ned within mention'd to be the Property and just Right of Paul Ruiz his
       Heirs and Assigns for ever

       To all to whom these Presents shall come Greeting Know
       Ye that We the said Thomas Lord Lovell and Sir John Eyles Baronett
       reposing Especial Trust & Confidence in Head Lynch of
       Williamsburgh in Virginia Esq and having received Good Testimony
       of his Fidelity and Loyalty to his Majesty and of his Ability
       and sufficiency to manage and better regulate the Posts in
       America and of his Inclination and Capacity to improve and
       advance his majestys Revenue therein Do by these Presents
       Nominate Depute Constitute Authorize and appoint him the
       said Head Lynch to be our Sole and only Deputy Post Master
       General of all His Majestys Provinces and Dominions in
       North America and the West Indies and all other his Majestys
       Dominions and Territories in America To have hold Exercise
