33) Memorandum that on the Seventh Day of Feb.ry in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred & thirty Seven came the within Named William Hammond before Robert Gordon Esq.r one of the Justices of our Provincial Court of Maryland & Acknowledged the within Deed according to Act of Assembly Robert Gordon Feb.ry 10 1737 Reced of the Baltimore Comp.a Eight Pence farthing being for the Alienation fine of the within Land being thirty Six Acres I Say reced for his Lordships use Recorded March the first 1737 P Benj.a Tasker 111 x.d This Indenture made Sixteen day of March Anno Dom 1736 Between Elizabeth Gin of the City of London Widow in her own right and William Woodward of the City of London Goldsmith Mary Holmes of Newington Butts in the County of Surry in the Kingdom of England Widow Devisees Trustees and Executors of the Testament & last Will of Mary Woodward late of London Widow Deceased of the one Part & John Andrews of Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the other Part Whereas Amos Garrett late of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland ^af.d^ Merchant deceased was in his life time seized of and Intituled to severall Tracts and Parcells of Land and Severall Messuages & Tenements in the said Province and Dyed intestate By which Means all his said real Estate descended to and vested in the said Mary Woodward & Elizabeth Gin his two Surviving Sisters as Parceners or Tenants in Common And Whereas the said Mary Woodward since he Death of the said Amos Garrett also dyed but before her Death made her Testament & last Will duely proved and by the same Testament & last Will Gave & devised unto the beforementioned William Woodward and Mary Holmes Partys to these Presents their Heirs & Assignes All her individed Moyety of the said real Estate whether Houses Lands Plantations Messuages Tenements or other Hereditaments and also all other the said Estate of what nature or kind Soever Which the said Mary Woodward should be Seized of or Intituled to at the time of her Death in Maryland aforesaid or Elsewhere Upon the Trust and to the Intent and Purpose That they the said William Woodward & Mary Holmes or the Survivor of them or Either of them or the Heirs of such Survivor should as soon as Conveniently might be join with the said Elizabeth Gin in the sale of the said real Estate in Maryland or in Case of her Death that they (the) |
