316) Names us Witnesses to the same Sworn to the Day & year abovesaid Before Brice Received the Day and year first within written of the within named Thomas Gough the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds being in full of the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid to me I say Received by Witness Jn.o Carpenter Tho.s Colmore Dan.l Dulany Jern Bigg M W.m Howard June 25.th 1742 Reced of the within M.r Thomas Gough Six blank Ster.l for the use of the Rig^h^t Honourable the Lord Baltimore Being for the Alienation Fine of the within three hundred Acres of Land Benjamin Tasker 11 sides Recorded June y.e 25.th 1742 Ex.d Whereas I the Subscriber have purchased a Tract of Land from Thomas Gough of Annapolis Gent called the Back Land which he sometime before purchased from Thomas Colmore of London Merchant in which Deed the said Thomas Gough has given a General Warrantee & it appearing that the Widow Yoakley of Charles County has her Dower in the said Land I hereby release any Advantage I may have by the said Deed from him the using all Lawfull Means to oblidge the said Thomas Colmore to make his Deed to the said Gough Valid in relation to the said Widows Dower for the Advantage of the said Clark In which said Deed from the said Colmore he has Covenanted & agreed with the said Gough that the said Land is freely and (Clearly) |
