       nine Shillings & six Pence Sterling being for the Alienation Fine of

Ex.d This Indenture made the eighteenth Day of March one thousand seven
       hundred forty one Between Cap.t Thomas Cresap of Prince George County
       in the Provine of Maryland of the one Part and Jacob Mires of Lancaster
       County and Province of Pensilvenia of the other Part Witnesseth that
       the said Tho.s Cresap for and in Consideration of two hundred Pounds
       Current Money of America to him in Hand paid by the said Jacob Mires
       before the ensealing of those presents Hath granted bargained and sold
       unto the said Jacob Mires two Tracts of Land situate and lying in Baltimore
       County the one Tract is part of Bonds Mannor containing one
       hundred forty five acres being conveyed to the said Thomas Cresap
       by Tho.s Bond as will more at large appeare by his Deed of Sale the
       eighth Day of August 1739 the other Tract is called the Iles of Promise
       Beginning at a bounded Sickamore Tree standing on a small Island
       about four Perches to the westward from the aforesaid three Islands
       thence South twenty Degrees East one hundred & sixty perches
       North Seventy degres East Forty perches North Twenty degrees
       West one hundred & fifty perches North Seventy degrees East thirty
       Perches South twenty degrees East one hundred & fifty perches
       North Seventy degrees East ^twenty five perches North twenty degrees West One hundred & fifty perches North seventy degrees East^ forty perches South twenty East One
       hundred fifty three perches and a half North Seventy degrees East
       thirty perches North twenty degrees west one hundred Sixty three
       perches and a half Thence on a streight to y.e place of Beginnig
       Containin one hundred Acres more or Less To Have
       And to hold the Said to tracts of Land above Mentioned with
       there appurtenances Unto y.e s.d Jacob Mires his Heirs and
       Assigns for Ever and to No other Use Intent or Purpose what
