       Answered that he had on Account of what Tobacco was on Bear
       Cap.t Stacey our any letters as yet so could not give an
       Answer till his Arrival And Therefore refused Payment
       of the said Bill Upon which Answer I the said Notary
       at the Request aforesaid have and do hereby solemnly
       Protest against the Drawer of the said Bill and all
       others Concerned for all Change Rechange Costs
       Damages and Interest already suffered and to be
       Suffered for want of Payment of the said Bill
       Thus Done and Protested in London aforesaid in the
       presence of William Hordley and Samuel Tudman

Ex.d Maryland fs.t To all Christian people to whome these
       presents shall come Greeting Whereas John Hawkins
       of Lethbury London Packer Acting Executor named
       in the Last will and testament of John Frizby heretofore
       of the parish of S.t John Hackney in the County of Middle
       Sex Merchant but late of the Province of Maryland
       deceased hath by his Letter of procuration or power of Attorney
       dated June the fifth in the year of our Lord God
       seventeen hundred and forty duly proved & Enrolled
       amongst the Records of the Provincial Court of the Province
       af.d made constituted & appointed me John Rendell of the
       Parrish of S.t Paul Shadwell in the County of Middlesex
       marriner his true & Lawfull Attorney for him in his
       name & to his use to Ask and receive from and of all persons
       in the Province of Maryland all such sums of Money as
       were due & owing unto the said John Frisby for them with
       power to Substitute one or more Attorney or Attorneys for
       the same purpose as by the said Letter of Procuration
       or Attorney reference thereunto being had may more
       fully appear Now Know Yee that by Virtue
       of the Power and in pursuance of the trust af.d The
