21 On the back of the foregoing Instrument was thus Indorst Viz.t Dec.r 12.th 1737 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court Michael Macnemara and Jn.o Burle Witnesses to the within Power of Attorney and made Oath upon the holy Evangelists of Almighty God that they see the within mentioned Elizabeth Cockey Sign Seal and deliver the within Power of attorney as her Act and Deed Robert Gordon 6 recorded 14.th Dec.r 1737 X.d This Indenture made the Twelfth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty Seven Between Elizabeth Cockey widow & Relict of Thomas Cockey late of Ann Arundell County deceased of the one Part and Robert Boone of the said County Planter of the other Part Whereas the said Elizabeth Cockey is now and stands Justly Entituled to one third Part & Share of all the Goods Chattles Rights Credits and other Personall Estate of what nature and kind soever of or belonging to her said late husband deced and whereas by one Deed Poll bearing Equal date with these Presents the said Elizabeth Cockey hath fully Authorized and appointed the said Robert Boone her true and Lawfull Attorney for & in her name and Stead and for her use to have receive and recover of and from the Executor or Executors of her said late husband deceased all her said Share and part of her said husbands Personall Estate as by the said Deed Poll referencd being thereunto had may more fully and at Large appear Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Cockey as well for and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings of Lawfull money of Maryland to the said Elizabeth Cockey well and truely Paid by the said Robert (Boone) |
