       his Wife & Eliz.a Kennedy Parties to within Deed & Severally
       Acknowledged the same to be their Act & Deed & the Lands
       & Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right & Estate of
       the within ^named^ Henry Baker his heirs & Assigns for ever
       & the said Margarett wife of the said Henry Bennett
       being at the same time Privately Examined out of the
       hearing of her said Husband did declare she did the
       same Willingly & freely ^and^ without being thereunto Induced
       by fears or threats of or Ill usage by her said Husband

       March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
       and forty Between Alexander Black of Ann Arundell County
       in the Province af.d Merch.t of the one Part and Alexander
       Lawson of Baltimore County in the said Province Merchant
       of the other part Witnesseth that the said Alexander Black
       for and in Consideration of the sum of fourteen pounds sterling
       mony to him in hand paid at and before the Ensealing and
       Delivery hereof the receipt Whereof he the said Alexander Black
