201 Acknowledged the same deed willingly and freely with out being Induced thereto by threats or Ill usage of her said husband or fear of his Displeasure Acknowledged according to the form of the Act of Assembly in that case made and Provided Acknowledged before me the day and year afores.d Robert Gordon Jan.ry 2.d 1740 Then received of the within Col Charles Hammond seven shillings and one half Penny sterling for the use of the Right Honourable the Lord Baltimore being for the alienation fine of the within Lands 7 1/2 Benj.a Tasker Recorded 3.d day of Jan.ry 1740 Ex.d This Indenture made the twenty fifth Day of February in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred & forty forty one Between Benjamin Fowler of Ann Arundell County Planter & Hellen his Wife of the one Part and John Brice of the County af.d Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Fowler & Hellen his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty one Pounds Current Money to them in hand paid by the said John Brice at or before the Sealing & Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge have Given granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these Presents for themselves & their Heirs do give Grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff & Confirm unto him the said John (Brice) |
