183) And Assigns for ever In Witness whereof the said Peter Johnson hath hereunto set his hand & Seal the Day & Year first above Written NB Six words enterlined before the Pet.r Johnson seal Signing & ensealing hereof Signed Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of us John Risteau On the Back of the aforegoing Tho.s Franklin Deed was thus Endorst Viz.t October y.e 31.st 1740 Then received fifty Pounds Sterling being the Consideration money within mentioned Test I say reced P Pet.r Johnson Tho.s Franklin October y.e 31.st 1740 Then came before me the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace in Baltimore County the within Named Peter Johnson & Acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act & Deed And the Premisses within mentioned to be the Estate Right & Title of the within named Bened.t Bourdillon his heirs & Assigns for ever And also on the same Day came Mary Wife of the said Peter Johnson who being Privately Examined out of the hearing of her said Husband declared that she Acknowledged the within Deed willingly and freely without being induced thereto by fear or Threats or Ill Usage of her said Husband According to the form of an Act of Assembly in that case made & Provided: Acknowledged before us the Day & Year af.d John Risteau November y.e 10.th 1740 Tho.s Franklin Then reced four Shillings Sterl for an Alienation fine of the w.thin Land for the use of the Lord Baltimore by Order of Benj.a Tasker Esq.r P Tho.s Franklin 7 1/2 Recorded Nov.r y.e 11.th 1740 |
