X.d  Maryland fs/   Know all Me by these Presents that I George Gordon of
       Prince Geo County Am held and firmly bound unto M.r W.m Black of London
       Merch.t In the full & just sum of Fourteen hundred Pounds Sterling Money of
       Great Britain To be paid y.e said W.m Black his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs to the w.ch
       Payment well and truly to be made and done I do hereby Bind my Self my Heirs
       Ex.rs and Adm.rs firmly by these Presents Sealed with my seal and Dated this Eight
       Day of September one thousand Seven Hundred & forty


       The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that if y.e above bound George
       Gordon do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the above named
       W.m Black his certain Attorney Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or his or their Assigns The
       full and just sum of seven Hundred Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain
       On or before ye first Day of Septemb.r which shall be in the Year of our Lord
       Seventeen hundred and forty Seven Then the above Obligation to be void and of no Effect
       Else to be and Remain in full force in Vertue in Law But if Default be made in ye
       payment of the s.d sum of seven hundred pounds Sterling or any Part thereof
       then I do hereby Impower Any Attorney in any Court of record in the Realm
       of Great Britain or ye Dominions thereunto belonging or within the province of
       Maryland To appear for me at ye suit of ye above Named W.m Black his certain
       Attorney Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns and to receive a Declaration on the above
       Obligation and thereupon to confess Judgement (By Nihil dicit Cognovit
       actionem non sum Informatus) or otherwise Hereby releasing all the Errors
       that may happen upon y.e s.d Judgement sueing our Execution thereupon
       Or in any of the Proceedings thereunto Relating
       Sealed and Delivered in presence of
