       Acknowledge and Assist you the said William Brogden in all Matters
       relating to the Discharge of your Function Given at Annapolis this
       Eighteenth Day of July in the twenty fifth year of his Lordships
1 1/2 Dominion Annoq Domini 1740               Sam Agles seal
Recorded September 30.th 1740

Ex.d This Indenture made this Eleventh Day of June Anno 1740
       Between Enoch Conly of Baltimore County Planter of the one Part &
       John Reynolds of Annapolis Barber of the Other Part Witnesseth that
       Whereas the said John Reynolds has before the Honble Robert Gordon
       Esq.r one of his Lordships Justices of the Prov.l Court become Bail
       in the Sum of fifty Pounds for the said Enoch Conlys Appearance
       at the Next Provincial Court Ensuing the date hereof Now this Indenture
       further Witnesseth that the said Enoch Conly as well to Indemnifie the
       Said the Said John Reynolds as also for & in Consideration of the Sum
       of five Shillings to him in hand paid the Receipt whereof he doth hereby
       Acknowledge hath Given Granted Bargained Sold and by these Presents
       Doth give grant Bargain & Sell unto him the said John Reynolds
       all that Tract or Parcell of Land Called Strawbury Plain lying &
       being in Baltimore County on Little Pipe Creek Containing one
       hundred as by Patent thereof Granted thereof to the said Enoch
       the twenty fourth day of June Anno 1737 may appear to have and
       to hold the Same unto him the said John Reynolds his Heirs and
       Assigns forever to the only Proper use & behoof of him the said John
       Reynolds his heirs & assigns for ever & the said Enoch Conly does hereby
       for himself his heirs Executors and Adm.rs Covenant Promise Grant
       and agree that he the said Enoch Conly his Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs & Assigns
       the said Tract of Land & all & Singular the houses Edifices & Buildings
       & Improvements on & to the same Land belonging shall & will warrant
       & for ever Defend by these Presents to him the said John Reynolds
       his Heirs & Assigns for Ever Against all manner of Persons whatsoever
       Provided Always & it is the true Intent & Meaning of
       these Presents & the Parties to the Same that if the said Enoch Conly
