       and taken and that we did then and there Regularly & Canonically ordain
       him Deacon In Witness whereof we have Caused Our Episcopal Seal to
       be hereunto Affixed Dated the day & year above Written & in the thirteenth
       year of our Translation

Ex.d Be it known unto all men by these Presents that we Edmund by
       Divine Permission Bishop of London by the Aid & Assistance of Almighty
       God holding an Ordination on Friday the fifteenth day of August in the year
       of our Lord 1735 in the Chapel Royal at Whitehall Westminster in the County
       of Middlesex Did According to the Manner and Rites of the Church of
       England in this behalf made & Provided Admit & Promote into the holy
       Order of Priest our beloved in Christ William Brogden being Very
       well Recomended to us for his Exemplary Life Good Morals & Virtuous
       qualities & well Instructed in the Study & knowledge of Sound Learning
       & Sufficiently Intituled Examined & Approved he having first before us
       Subscribed the Articles & taken the Oaths which in this Case are by Law
       required to be Subscribed & taken and that we did then & there Regularly
       & Canonically Ordain him Pr^i^est In Witness Whereof we have Caused
       Our Episcopal Seal to be hereunto affixed Dated the day & year above
       Written & in the thirteenth year of our Translation

       I Do hereby Constitute and appoint you to be Rector of Alhallows Parish in
       Ann Arundell County To have hold & enjoy the said Church togeather with
       all the Rights Profits and Advantages whatsoever appertaining to a
       Minister of the said Parish and I do hereby require the Church Wardens
       Vestryman and all Others the Parishioners of the said Parish to receive
