Ex.d Maryland fs.t   Know all Men by these Presents that I James Dick of
       London Town in Maryland Merchant Have made ordained Constituted
       and appointed & by these Persents do make ordain Constitute and
       appoint & in my Place & Stead put Benjamin Stockett of Ann.ll
       County my true & Lawfull Attorney for me & in my Name & to my
       use to ask demand retain Sue for & by all Lawfull Ways & means to
       recover & receive of & from all or any Person or Persons residing in
       Maryland or any other remote Parts beyond the Seas whom it
       shall or may ^or shall^ concern all and Singular Such Sum & Sums of Money
       Goods Wares Merchandizes Effects & other things whatsoever Which
       he or they now doth or do or shall hereafter owe & stand indebted
       in or hath or have in his or their hands Custody or Possession to me
       due or owing belonging or in any wise appertaining whether
       by bond or Note Bill Book Debt Account Consignment or for or by
       what other Reason or means soever (nothing Excepted) and
       upon the Recovery & Receipt of all & Every the said Debts Sume &
       Sumes of Money Goods Wares & Merchandizes Effects & other things
       for me & in my name or otherwise to give one or more Acquittances
       or other sufficient Discharges in due form of Law & also to
       State settle & adjust all Such Accounts and Reckonings as now
       are or hereafter shall happen to be between me or my said Att.ry
       Employed by me & any other Person or Persons whatsoever & to
       Compound for any Debt or Debts due to me by or from any Person
       or Persons whatsoever now residing or who shall hereafter reside
       at Maryland or any other remote Parts beyond the Seas as af.d
