       Maryland Baltimore County fs.t These are to Certifie to all to
       whom it may Concern that the above Subscribers George Buchanan  
       and William Bond was at the time of Taking the foregoing acknowledgment
       and Still are Two of his Lordships the Lord Propry his
       Justices of the Peace for the said County they being lawfully
       authorized and quallified therefore In Testimony whereof
       I have hereunto Set my hand & affixed he Publick Seal of
       Baltimore County Court this Sixth Day of May Anno Dom

       to the within Deed of Conveyance and Made Oath upon the holy Evangelist of almighty
       God that they saw John Codman Steelman Senior Alias Cap.t John Nance Steelman
       Mentioned as John Steelman in the within Deed of Conveyance Signed Seal
       Deliver and Acknowledge the same which said John Steelman they know and was Commonly
       Called Cap.t Nance Steelman & formerly was and now is a Indian Trader Sworn to before
       us two of his Lordships Justices for Baltimore County   Rich.d Gist Tho.s Franklin

       Rich.d Gist & Tho.s Franklin was at the time of to him the above Evidence of Luke Stansbury

Ex.d This Indenture made the fifth Day of December in the
       year of our Lord Seventeen hundred & Thirty Nine Between Jacob
       Holland of Ann Arundell County Planter of the one Part and Conradt
       De Smith and George Heathcoat of London Merchants of the Other
       Part Whereas the said Jacob Holland has Drawn or Intends to
       Draw on the aforesaid Conradt De Smith and George Heathcoat
       Bills of Exchange for the following Sumes Viz.t of thirty Six Pounds
       two Shillings Sterling Payable to Benj.a Tasker Esquire Eight Pounds
       Eight Shillings Sterling Payable to M.r Philip Thomas
       Twelve Pounds Seventeen Shillings & Six pence Sterling
       Payable to M.r John Moale Four Pounds four Shillings
       Sterling Payable to M.r John Gardiner and two Pounds
       Ten Shillings Sterling Payable to M.r Vachel Denton
