112) On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorst Viz.t Mem.d that on the Eleventh Day of October 1739 Came Edward Tully Party to the within Deed & acknowledged the Land & Premisses therein mentioned to be the right title and Estate of the within named James Maccollum his Heirs & Assignes for Ever And at the same time Came Mary Tully Wife of the said Edward & being Examined apart from her said Husband did freely & Voluntarily acknowledge her right of Dower of said Land to be the Estate of the said James Maccollum his Heirs and Assignes according to the directions of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made & provided Acknowledged before the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices for Ann Arundell County Lance Todd Tho.s Todd Reced Nov.r the 8.th 1739 of M.r James Maccollum the Sum of Two Shillings & Eleven Pence Sterling for his Lordships use being the Alienation fyne on the within mentioned seventy three Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General 7 Sides P Rich.d Dorsey Recorded 21.st Nov.r 1739 On the Twelfth Day of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Eight before me William Tudman Notary and Tabellion Publick Dwelling in London duly admitted & sworn and Witnesses Personally appeared William Woodward Citizen & Goldsmith of London Benjamin Berron Citizen and Upholder of London & Elizabeth his Wife Mary Holmes of the Parish of S.t Mary Newington Butts in the County of Surry Widow and Cornelius Kehown & Sarah Kehown are Barber Surgeon of London & Sarah his Wife Which said William Woodward Elizabeth Baron Mary Holmes & Sarah Kehown are the only surviving Children of Mary Woodward late of London Evidence Deceased Which said Appearers jointly and severally declared to have made ordained Constituted and appointed & by these Presents do make ordain Constitute and appoint M.r John Galloway of West River in Maryland Merchant their true and lawfull Attorney Giving & by these Presents Granting unto their said Attorney full Power & lawfull Authority for them the said Constituants in their any or Either of their Names Joyntly or Severally & to their respective Use and Uses as Legatees named in the Last Will & Testament (of) |
