                   At the foot of the foregoing Deed of Sale was thus written Viz.t

                Memorandum that this fifteenth Day of August in
       the Year of our Lord God one Thousand seven hundred and Thirty two
       came before one of his Lordships Provinciall Justices in the Province of
       Maryland the within named James Crouch and acknowledged the within
       Writeing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses with the
       Appurtenances within mentioned to be the Right of the within Named John
       Orrick his heirs and assigns for ever according to the form force effect
       True Intent and Meaning of the same Indenture In Testimony
       whereof I have subscribed my name The Day and Year above written

x.d  Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the
       Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of
       Baltemore &c.a To our trust and well beloved Councell our Charles
       Calvert Esq.r Greeting Whereas for the Due Administration
       of Justice it Is most Necessary that there be a Succession from the Dead
       to the Living and that the Wills of all Persons Dying who in their
       life time do make Wills may be Duly proved and Letters of Administration
       of all persons Dying without Wills may be Granted to such
       Persons who have the best Right to Succeed thereto That there may
       (In that Case) be no failure of Justice But that it may be Duely Administred
       to all People within the said Province of Maryland Know
       Therefore that we Trusting in the Ability Care and Integrity of you
       our said Councell or Have Constituted and Ordained and by this our
       Commission Do Constitute and appoint you our said Councellor to be our
       Judge or Commissary General for Probate of Wills and Granting of
       Administrations within the whole Province of Maryland aforesaid  
       and the Islands thereunto belonging and for all Manner of Causes
       Relateing to the Probate of Wills and Grating of Administrations
