(9) The Within Deed and the Land and Premisses therein Contained unto the within John Lawson his heirs and assignes for Ever according to the Intent and Meaning of the same Deed and the same Sarah before her acknowledgment aforesaid Being first privately Examined out of the hearing of her said Husband acknowledged that she made her acknowledgm.t of the same Deed Willingly & freely and without being Induced thereto by fears or threats of or Ill usage by her said Husband In Testimony whereof the sale of the County aforesaid is hereunto affixed the 9.th June 1731 by Cha Goldsborough Clk Dorchester County Court seale 6 1/2 sides (Recorded the 2.d day of August 1731) x.d This Indenture made the Twelfth day of June Anno Dom One Thousand seven hundred and Thirty One Between Thomas Linthicum Jun.r of Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part and Richard Taylor Jun.r of the said County and Province Carpenter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Linthicum for and in Consideration of the sume of Twelve pounds ten shillings Current Money of the province aforesaid to him in hand paid by the said Richard Taylor at and before the Ensealing of these presents the Receipt whereof he the said Thomas Linthicum doth hereby acknowledge himselfe therewith to be fully sattisfied Contented and paid and thereof and of every part & parcell thereof Doth Acquitt Exonerate and Discharge the said Richard Taylor his heirs and assignes for ever Hath given Granted Bargained sold assigned aliened enfeoffed Transferred and Confirmed And by these Presents Doth give grant bargain sell assign aliene enfeofe Transferr and Confirme unto him the said Richard Taylor his heirs and assigns for ever all that peice or parcell of Land being part or parcell of a Tract of Land Called Smiths Forrest Lying in Baltemore County in the Woods on the North side of Patapscoe River on Hunting Ridge Beginning at a Bounded Red Oak being the Originall begining Boundary of the said Smiths Forrest and alsoe abounded Tree of Two parcels of Land formerly belonging to James Murry and William Slade and running from thence South West forty four perches to (Thomas) |
