       or plantations of her the said Elizabeth Kirkby which shall be
       sold by him the said Jeremiah Thomas in Maryland af.d and also
       like tenth part of the Nett Produce of all such Hoggs as he the said
       Jeremiah Thomas shall Breed up on & sell of the said plantations
       as the same can be spared from the said plantations And for the
       Better Enabling the Said Jeremiah Thomas to Collect Recover Gather
       in and Receive all and Every the Effects and things herein
       before Mencond she the Said Elizabeth Kirkby hath made Ordained
       Constituted Authorized and Appointed and by these presents
       doth make Ordain Constitute Authorize and Appoint the Said
       Jeremiah Thomas her true and Lawfull Attorney Giving and
       by these presents Granting unto the Said Jeremiah Thomas
       full power and Lawfull Authority for her the Said Elizabeth
       Kirkby in her name and to her use to Receive and take out of
       the Hands Custody ^or^ and possession of William Lampson of
       Miles River aforesaid his heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs and all others Concernd
       all and every such sume and Sums of Money Goods Wares Merchandizes
       Negroes Cattle & all & singular other the effects and
       things whatsoever which he the said William Lampson allready
       hath or at any time or times hereafter shall or may Collect
       Gather in or Receive for account of her the said Elizabeth
       Kirkby by Virtue of Certain Articles of Agreement Indented
       bearing Date the twenty eighth day of November Anno Dom 1723
       made Between her the said Elizabeth Kirkby by the Name of
       Elizabeth Carter of London Widow of the one part and the Said
       William Lampson of the other part also to ask Demand Levy sue
       for and by all Lawfull ways and means Recover and Receive of
       and from all and every other person or persons of what Degree or
       Quality soever whom it shall or may Concern inhabiting in Maryland
       aforesaid all and every such sum and summs of Money Goods
       Wares Merchandizes Effects Estate & things whatsoever Due or to
       grow due Owing Belonging or in any wise appurtaining to her
       the said Elizabeth Kirkby whether by Bond note Bill Book
       Debt Accompt Consignment Contract Agreement Rent or Arrears
       of Rent Decree Sentance Judgment Execution Extent or for or by
       any Other account Ways Reason or Means soever nothing in
       Law or Equity Excepted nor Reserved And to that End with the said
       W.m Lampson his heirs Executors Adm.rs & Every Other person or
       persons whatsoever whom it shall or may Concern to account
       and to view settle and adjust all accounts and the Ballance thereof
       to Receive and upon Recoveries and Receipts to give one or more
       Acquittances or Other sufficient Discharges in due form of Law
       But in Case of Refuseall or Delay by the said W.m Lampson his
       Heirs Executors or Adm.rs or any Other person or persons whatsoever
       whom it shall or may Concern to make & render just & true
       account payment and sattisfaction in the Premisses him
       her or them thereunto to Compell by all Lawfull Waies & means
       whatsoever also to appear before all or any Lords Judges
       and Justices in any Court or Courts there to answer defend
       and Reply in all Matters and Causes Touching or Concerning the
