553 Edward Rummey his Heirs & Assignes shall & will for Ever Warrant & Defend from all persons whatsoever In Witness whereof the said Daniel Rawlings hath hereunto set his hand & seal the Day & Year first above written Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of Daniell Rawlings Seal W Ghiseline On the back of the aforegoing Deed was W.m Wilkins thus Endorst vizt Received the Day of the Date hereof the Sum of Forty Pounds Current Money of Maryland being the Consideration Money for the Land & Premisses within mentioned Lno Daniell Rawlings Memorandum that on the twenty fifth Day of August in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred & thirty seven Came the within named Daniel Rawlings before me & did acknowledge the within bargained Land & Premisses to be the right & Property of Edward Rummey his Heirs & Assignes for Ever & likewise Mary the Wife of the said Daniel who being by me privately Examined out of the hearing of her said Husband declared that she freely relinquished her right to the within Lands & Premisses without being Compelled thereto through fear or ill usage by her husband Taken by me the Day & Year abovementioned Robert Gordon Reced Sep.t the 22.d 1737 of M.r Edward Rummey the Sum of Ten Shillings Sterling for his Lordships use (being the alienation fyne on the within mentioned Two hundred & fifty Acres of Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Benj.a Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver Generall P Rich.d Dorsey 6 1/2 sides Recorded Sep.t 22.d 1737 Excha Ster £ 9.8. Maryland Dec.r 26 1733 Ex.d At Thirty days Sight of this my second bill of Exch.a my first and third of the same tenour and date not payed Pay to Henry Donaldson or Order the Sum of Nine pounds Eight Shillings Sterling ^Money^ Value Received Copia and plan the same to the Account of S.r Your hum.bl Ser.t John Curling To M.r Will.m Black Merch.t in London Henry Donaldson Buckler Partridge Ken Rippon Ja Calder pay the within to John Samuel or his order Tho Penn On the twenty seventh Day of March Anno Dm 1735 at the Request of M.r John Samuel I Thomas Browne Notary Publick Dwelling in London duly admitted and sworn Exhibited the original Bill of Exchange whereof the above is a Copy to M.r William Black on whom the same is drawn and demanding payment of its Contents he answered that he would not pay the said Bill for want of Effect Whereupon I the said Notary at the request aforesaid Have protested against the Drawer of the said Bill and all others Concerned for (Exchange) |
