       Whereas my son philip Smith Jun.r is now Bound on A Voyage to
       Maryland aforesaid on my Affairs and Designs to stay there for some short time
       Now know all Men by these presents That I the said Philip Smith have
       Constituted Authorized & Appointed and in my Stead & place put ^& by these presents do Constitute authorize and appoint & in my stead & place put^ him the said
       Philip Smith Jun.r my said son my true & Lawfull Attorney for & Duering all
       such time as he shall remain & reside in the said Province of Maryland &
       for me & in my Name and to my own proper Use & Behoof to Ask Demand Sue
       for recover & Receive all such Debts Duties sum & sums of Money Yearly
       Payments Merchandizes Goods Chattles & moneys Due or to be Due or
       Any Bills or Bills of Exchange or otherwise & all other Demands whatsoever
       which now are or hereafter shall be Due payable or any ways
       belonging unto me by or from any Person or Persons whatsoever or
       Howsoever in the Province of Maryland af.d & for Default of payment
       of any sum or sums which now is or hereafter may become Due to me During my
       said sons stay in Maryland af.d to sue & prosecute such person or persons for the
       same & to transact & manage all affairs &^ Business any way Concerning me as my
       Attorney Factor or Agent or Otherwise as if I my Self was there personally present
       Giving & by these presents Granting to my said Attorney my full & Lawfull Power
       and Authority in the Execution & Performance of all & singular the premisses
       and to make any Composition or Agreement for me & in my Name And to
       Make Seal & Deliver any Discharges & Acquittances for me & in my name as
       shall be requisite & generally to Do all & every such further and other
       Lawfull & reasonable Act & Acts thing & things Whatsoever which in & about
       the premisses may Lawfully be done as fully & Amply as I my self might or
       Could do if personally present Ratifying Allowing & Confirming all & Whatsoever
       my said Attorney shall Lawfully do or Cause to be Done in my name by force
       hereof And I Do by these presents revoake Disanull & make Void the said
       Letter of Attorney so Granted by me to the said William Chapman from the
       time of my said son Philip Smith Jun.r Arrivall in Maryland aforesaid and
       During his Continuance there as af.d and no longer And I do hereby Also Authorize
       and Impower the said Philip Smith Jun.r my said son in Case of the Death
       of the said William Chapman before his return from Maryland af.d
       To Nominate & Appoint such other person or persons in Maryland as af.d
       as he shall think fitt to Transact my Affairs there in the same manner as
       the said William Chapman Did by Virtue of the Letter of Attorney
       Granted him as af.d In Witness whereof I the said Philip Smith
