    x.d  This Indenture made the thirteenth day of August
391)   Anno Dom One Thousand seven Hundred & thirty five between
          Mordecai Hammond of Ann Arundell County in the
          Province of Maryland of the one part and Benjamin
          Hammond of the County & Province aforesaid of the other
          Part Witnesseth that the said Mordecai Hammond for &
          in Consideration of the sum of one Hundred Pounds Sterl
          to him in hand paid by the said Benjamin Hammond doth hereby
          Acknowledge And that of and thereof and being part &
          Parcell thereof Doe for himself his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs
          Clearly & Absolutely acquit exonerate & for ever Discharge
          the said Benjamin Hammond his Heirs & Assignes & by
          these presents have given granted Bargained & Sold
          Enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these Presents he the said
          Mordecai Hammond for himself & his Heirs give grant
          Bargain & Sell Enfeoff & Confirm unto the said Benjamin
          Hammond his Heirs & Assignes for ever All that Tract of
          or Parcell of Land called Melinda lying in Baltimore
          County on the North side of Potapsco River in the Woods
          at a place called Newfoundland Beginning at
          two bounded white oakes standing by a small Run about
          tenn Perches up the Run from a great Glaide & Runs thence
          West North West four Hundred Perches then North North
          East One Hundred & Sixty Perches Then East South East
          four Hundred Perches then to then to the first Trees
          Containing & now laid out for four Hundred Acres more or
          less and all manner of Appurtenances thereto belonging
          To have and to hold the before mentioned Land & premisses
          with the appurtenances & Improvements thereunto
          Belonging unto the said Benjamin Hammond his Heirs
          & Assignes for ever And to no other use Intent or
          Purpose whatsoever And the said Mord Hammond doth hereby
          for himself his Heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs Covenant & agree to & with the said
          Benjamin Hammond his Heirs & Assignes that He the s.d
          Mordecai Hammond the Bargain Premisses w.th the appurtenances
          unto the said Benjamin Hammond his Heirs & Assignes shall &
          will warrant & for ever defend against him the said Mord
          Hammond his Heirs & Assignes or any other Person or Persons
          Claiming by from or under him or his Heirs and Assignes And
          the said Mordecai Hammond doth farther covenant to & with
