(381) Five Shillings Sterling money to him in hand Paid by the said George Plater at & before the Sealing & Delivery of these Presents the receipt Whereof he Doth hereby Acknowledge & also for Other Valuable Considerations herein after mentioned hath Bargained & Sold & by these Presents Doth Bargain & Sell unto the s.d George Plater one Mullattoe Man Slave Named Will to have & to hold the s.d Mullattoe man Slave unto the Said George Plater his Ex.rs Adm.rs & Assigns for ever as also he the said John Thomson for the Considerations afores.d hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened & Confirmed & by these Presents doth Grant Bargain Sell alien & Confirm unto the said George Plater & his heirs & assigns for ever all that two Messuage & Tract of Land Lying in Saint Marys County aforesaid Called Thompsons Purchase Containing one hundred & eighty Acres of Land more or Less Together with all Gardnes Stables Fenses Tobacco Houses to the said two Messuages & Tract of Land belonging or in any wise Appertaining & also the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders Rents & Services of all & Singular the Premisses above mentioned & every Part & Parcell thereof & all the Estate Right Title & Interest Claim & Demand Whatsoever of him the s.d John Thompson of & in the Same & every Part & Parcell thereof To have & to hold the af.d two Messuages & Tract of Land with the Premisses & every Part & Parcell thereof with their & every of their Appurtenances unto the s.d George Plater his Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns for ever Provided always & on Condition Whereas the af.d George Plater at the Special Instance & request of the af.d John Thompson on the Day of the Date of these Presents became Special Bail for him the Said John Thompson in an Action on the Case Commenced against him by William Allexander the Executor of Robert Alexander Returnable to this Instant July Prov.ll Court That if the said John Thompson his heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs or any of them Do or Shall from time to time & at all times hereafter Clearly Acquitt & Discharge or Otherwise Sufficiently Save & keep harmless the said George Plater his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs & all his & their Goods Chattles Lands Tenements & hereditaments & every of them & of & from all manner of Actions Suits Troubles Expences & Demands whatsoever Which Shall or may in Anywise hereafter happen against him the Said George Plater his Ex.rs or Adm.rs for or by reason of his becomeing Special Bail as af.d that then this Present Deed or Grant and (every) |
