(382) Every thing therein Contained Shall be Utterly Void & of none Effect Anything herein before mentioned to the Contrary notwithstanding In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal the Day & Year above Written Sealed and Delivered John Thompson seal In Presence of John Seager John Gibson On the Back of the foregoing Deed is thus Indorst Viz.t Maryland fs.t July the 10.th 1735 Then Came the within Named John Thompson before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court & Acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act & Deed for the Use of the Within Named George Plater According to the form of the Act of Assembly In that Case made & Provided Acknowledged before me the Day & Year aforesaid Ch.a Hammond Record August the 6.th 1735 5 1/2 x.d Know all men by these Presents that We John Galloway of Ann Arundel County 4 1/2 Sides planter and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esq.r are holden and firmly bound Cash p.d unto Thomas Hopson in the Sum of One thousand pounds Sterling money of Great Brittain to be paid to the said Thomas or his Certain attorney Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns to which payment well and truly to be made and Done we bind our Selves and Each of us & Each of our heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs Jointly and Severally firmly by these Presents sealed with our seals and dated this twentieth day of August Anno Domini 1735 Whereas the above Named Thomas Hopson Commander of the Ship Called two Brothers belonging to Joseph Adams of London Merchant and now Riding at Anchor in Patowmack River hath thought proper to Deliver up the Possession and Command of the said Ship to the above Bounded ^John Galloway^ and to Such person as he shall Appoint to be Commander thereof on her Intended Voyage (For) |
